10/31/08 grades close  * Parent Conference letters have been issued on an as needed basis. Please return the letter with a response attached. Thank you.

10/31/08           Project Presentations: Students will be provided a check list to organize their project due on WED 11/5/08. This in-class project has 3 sections (essay, written lab report, and poster), any research can be done outside of school, we had a research day in school. This is a test grade and groups will be presenting on WED, THURS, and FRI. All students have had fair and adequate time for this project. Please see student paper and rubric forms. 

11/5 - 11/8/07 homework due Friday, worksheet pp.24 -25 on kingdoms and classification. Quiz will be given WED/THURS and FRI on the 5 vocabulary words on the front of that worksheet.

11/7/08 report cards will be issued on Friday 11/7/08. Parents must sign the golden envelop and students must return the envelop to their homeroom teacher.

11/12-11/14/08 students need to have report card envelops signed and returned. Hwk study 7 vocabulary words; evolution, taxonomic key, taxonomy, Genus,  species, binomial nomenclature, classification. All definitions are found in a worksheet we have gone over in class.

11/17-11/21/08 Quiz on Aristotle, Linnaeus, Darwin classifications, Domain, (7 levels of classification) and the vocabualary words will be quizzed this week. Test on classification on 11/24/08, study guides booklets in use. Hwk: Taxonomic Key worksheet and questions.

11/24-11/26/08 no test this week. shortened classes, hard to finish. Hwk is a worksheet. Venn diagram, and questions. Happy Thanksgiving.

12/01-12/05/08    Hwk double sided worksheet on classification. Students will be having a test on classification material in review. Study guides will be done in class and mini notebooks will be used for this test. homework due on Fri and test will be on thursday.
